Legal
Privacy Policy.
Your data stays on your device. No servers, no cloud, no tracking. Here is exactly what that means.
Effective April 25, 2026
Overview
SwimSpace is an iOS app for competitive swimmers. It tracks workouts, monitors health metrics, calculates readiness scores, and helps you chase cut standards.
This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using SwimSpace, you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect
What you enter:
- Name and profile details
- Swim goals and cut targets
- Avatar preferences
- Meet result images (for time scanning)
Health data, only with your explicit permission:
- Swim workouts: distance, stroke count, active time
- Heart rate
- Sleep: duration, bedtime, deep sleep
- General activity metrics
All HealthKit access is governed by Apple's permission system. We only read what you authorize and never write unauthorized data.
Meet result images are processed entirely on-device using OCR. They are never transmitted or stored externally.
How we use it
Only to run the app: readiness scores, goal tracking, heart rate timelines, standards comparison, time scanning. Nothing else. No advertising. No data sales.
Data storage
Everything lives on your device via SwiftData. SwimSpace has no servers, no cloud storage, no external databases. Your data never leaves your device unless you use Apple's iCloud backup, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security: Face ID, Touch ID, passcode encryption.
Accounts
SwimSpace has no accounts, no registration, no login. Everything is local to your device.
Third-party services
- Apple HealthKit — health and fitness data access
- Apple SwiftData — local data storage
- DiceBear — avatar generation, processed locally, no personal data transmitted
- TelemetryDeck — anonymous usage analytics. No personal data, health data, or identifiers are ever transmitted. Signals are things like "user added a goal", nothing tied to you. See telemetrydeck.com/privacy for their full policy.
Children's privacy
SwimSpace is designed for swimmers of all ages including minors. Users under 13 require parental consent in accordance with COPPA. Because nothing is transmitted externally, privacy risk for minors is minimal.
If you believe a child under 13 is using the app without parental consent, contact us below.
Your data, your control
You have full control at all times:
- Delete individual entries within the app
- Uninstall the app to remove everything
- Revoke HealthKit access anytime via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health
No request to us needed. It is always your data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be available in the app and the effective date above will be revised. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
